ABOUT THE ARTIST:
Jaara is a Yorta Yorta woman and an artist & illustrator who currently lives on Wurundjeri country in Melbourne with her three children.
Jaara is the great granddaughter of Colin & Faye Walker who live at Cummeragunja, NSW and hail from the Yorta Yorta & Wiradjuri Nations respectively.
These colouring pages are a fun opportunity for our kids to be creative and connected to community.

The Yorta Yorta traditionally inhabited the areas surrounding the junction of the Goulburn and Murray Rivers in present-day north-eastern Victoria and Southern New South Wales.
Their culture and connection to Country remains strong.

The Helping Hand tool provides an opportunity to speak with children about who they can talk to if they feel worried or scared.
The hand reassures children that there are people who care and are available to support them with anything that may worry them from family violence, bullying or mental health concerns.
