Our Aunties

Elizabeth Morgan House Aboriginal Women’s Services honours the legacies of the Aunties whose footsteps we walk in.

It is only through their commitment to the rights and safety of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women and children, tireless work against the effects of systemic racism, and passion for social justice that EMH and other Aboriginal controlled organisations were established.

We take time to reflect to ensure their strength, kindness and compassion for the most vulnerable and marginalised in our communities is acknowledged, and continues in our work today. Celebrate their stories with us.

Monica Morgan yarns about her mother and Aunties.

EMH provides consent to agencies and individuals to use these posters.

We welcome Aboriginal women, children and young people, including parents of Aboriginal children, as well as partners and ex-partners of Aboriginal people, lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans and gender diverse, non-binary, sistergirls, brotherboys, intersex and two spirit queer folk who identify as women or feel comfortable accessing a women’s service.
