Elizabeth Morgan House is at the frontline of a crisis of violence. Behind every statistic is a woman, her family, her community and us.
Our 2023-2024 Annual Report highlights the work we are doing to create a responsive specialist service that delivers real outcomes for our community.
Our highlights include:
the expansion of our services to include the Aboriginal Healing Unit (AHU) at the Dame Phyllis Frost Centre
significant inroads being made into our Theory of Change work and Outcomes Framework means we are conducting our first ever major program evaluation of the AHU, which will provide significant measure of our impact in this 'first of its kind' in Australia program
an increase in secondary consults to 64.8% of our calls (from 59% last year) providing our specialist knowledge across the sector
5 out of the 9 women in refuge have been offered housing
98 in person counselling sessions
a 21% increase in court support hours
we began construction on the EMH Women's and Children's Hub
we increased our revenue by 49% and increased diversified income through our justice program by 32%.
It's been another huge year for the organisation but the challenge we are facing continues. Read more in our report.
