It’s not unusual for people to use technology to control you. They may create fake accounts, share intimate images or videos, stalk, spy and denigrate to control, isolate, gaslight, intimidate and abuse you.

Your safety matters. When people do these things, it can be a sign they are trying to control you:
· make threatening phone calls over and over
· post hurtful things about you on social media
· track where you are
· hide cameras that film you
· share, or threaten to share, nude or sexual images of you – sometimes called revenge porn
Tech-based abuse can make you feel isolated and trapped but you don’t have to deal with it on your own. It’s not your fault. You might want to talk to one of our case workers about what you can do.
We can have positive and respectful connections for ourselves and our kids. Online or tech-based abuse is never okay.
